Morning & Evening Safari Schedules

Rajaji offers two safari sessions daily - choose based on your wildlife goals and photography preferences.

Morning Safari
6:00 AM - 9:30 AM
Best for Tigers Elephant Herds Golden Light 3.5 Hours
Morning is prime wildlife time. Tigers are most active at dawn before the heat sets in. Elephant herds often cross the Ganga canal road in early morning. Chilla Zone morning slots fill up fastest - book 2-3 weeks in advance during peak season (Dec-Feb).
Evening Safari
3:00 PM - 6:30 PM
Leopard Active Deer at Waterholes Sunset Photography 3.5 Hours
Evening safaris are underrated. Animals move to waterholes in the late afternoon. Leopards become active at dusk - Motichur and Ranipur zones shine in the evening. Fewer bookings than morning, making it easier to secure last-minute slots.

Rajaji offers the best safari value in North India. A group of 6 Indians pays ₹567 per person for a 3.5-hour jeep safari in a Tiger Reserve with 500+ elephants, Bengal tigers, leopards, and 315+ bird species. Compare this to Ranthambore (₹1,200-₹1,800 per person) or Corbett (₹900-₹1,400 per person). Rajaji is also the closest Tiger Reserve to Delhi (250 km) - lowering total trip cost significantly.
